California: From Shaking to Awakening
“As they prayed the earth shook beneath them, causing the building they were in to tremble. Each one of them was filled with the Holy Spirit, and they proclaimed the word of God with unrestrained boldness.”
Acts 4:31
We are at a tipping point of revival in our nation, and I believe one of the hot spots for revival and awakening is in California. Many of you know our oldest daughter Kathryn Evans recently relocated to Pasadena California in September of this year. She joined efforts with a ministry called California Will Be Saved. Together they are preaching the Gospel and worshiping Jesus on the streets up and down the coasts of California. Many are believing in Jesus and being Baptized.
Tommy, Madison (our second oldest), and I went to San Francisco to support and join efforts with the CAWBS (California Will Be Saved) team. We started October 28 (also Kathryn’s birthday), with a worship march in the city streets, along with prayer and evangelism. Then, on October 29, we gathered at the United Nations Plaza to worship and minister the Gospel to the public, alongside the CAWBS ministry.
We believe this weekend catalyzed a monumental shift in the spiritual direction of California and we are honored to have been a part. Revival is our mandate and part of our assignment is to serve the nation of America in her time of great need, by proclaiming and demonstrating the Gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit!
Revival history tells us the great Welsh Revival, led by Evans Roberts began on October 31, 1904. The Welsh Revival sparked a hunger in Frank Bartleman and William Seymour to see God awaken the city of Los Angeles,CA. As they contended for revival through prayer, worship and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the great Azusa Street Revival was birthed in Los Angeles in 1906!
We gathered together to contend for revival, and our strategy was one thing; to glorify Jesus with our worship and then watch Jesus touch people’s lives. We believe the wells of revival are being uncapped! I saw a spiritual picture of our worship to Jesus bringing forth the cleansing waters of the Holy Spirit to clean out the dirt that has been clogging the California wells of revival. Please read Genesis 28 about Isaac redigging the wells of his father Abraham, that were filled with dirt by the ungodly Philistines.
Earlier this week Tommy and I had a zoom call to encourage and pray with the CAWBS team. During this time, I shared a prophetic impression I had about physical earth signs coming to confirm the movement of the Holy Spirit in California. Ross Johnston, one of the CAWBS hosts, said he also felt there would be spiritual earthquakes and shakings.
The following day, October 26, there was a 5.1 earthquake in San Jose. The last earthquake of that magnitude, in that region, was approximately 15 years ago! No destruction, just a shaking that was felt in the Bay region. This region will be shaken by the presence of the Holy Spirit and the multitudes will feel it!
Many accepted Jesus as their Lord, several experienced deliverance, and many people were healed in body. Tommy and I were given the privilege to demonstrate that Jesus heals bodies due to the finished work of the cross.
Here are some testimonies:
In addition to the miracles of salvation, there was a woman who was watching us as we all worshiped and preached the gospel. I asked if anyone had a healing take place in their bodies. She came forward and said all her stiffness and pain in her wrist, due to carpal tunnel, was completely gone. Another woman walked outside for her 15 minute work break. She heard an invitation to receive healing and came forward. She said her entire body felt better and she felt good in her soul! She told us “you guys need to do this in the city every weekend!”
This woman’s story grips our hearts for outdoor meetings. People who are not in the church building for one reason or another have a chance to hear and witness Jesus is alive. She didn’t have the language for what he was feeling but she said her body and soul had never felt so good.
Another woman who admitted to being on drugs said she had numbness in her legs for 6 years. After a time of corporate prayer for healing, she said all the numbness was gone!
Two gentlemen reported healing from pain and/or nerve conditions in their backs. A woman with a condition that causes severe itching and needle sensation in hr scalp reported that the needle and itching sensation was gone.
Lastly, the day before after the march, I kept having an intense beating in my heart. I immediately knew it was a word of knowledge for that day. Later, I was drawn to pray for a young girl. When I asked her if she had any needs, she said she had a heart disease, and had been feeling unwell physically all day but she came to the park because she knew we were there worshiping. After I prayed for healing, I asked her how she felt. She said she felt the same. I blessed and encouraged her to keep believing and went on my way. About an hour later, she came to share in front of the crowd that all her pain and discomfort had left,and she felt so good! We are expecting a good medical report.
There are more testimonies I am waiting to get back from some of the prayer team that was on the ground.
We are also very proud of our daughters, Kathryn and Madison who boldly released the Kingdom of God this weekend. Madison, who is 15, unashamedly led a prayer for the Gen Z generation alongside other youth before the public crowd. We also proudly watched Kathryn step into a higher level of breakthrough as she worshiped Jesus in the public UN Plaza.
Please pray with us as we advance the kingdom of God in our nation. Please agree with us for mass repentance, miracles, freedom, signs and wonders that prove Jesus is the Savior! Please pray for our children as they join us in revival. Please pray for revival in California and the entire nation of America! California shall be saved and America shall be saved, in the mighty name of Jesus!
We are beginning to plan for outdoor Gospel gatherings for 2023, but we need financial partners to make this happen. We plan to begin on I-95 (East Coast), in order to steward the word God gave us concerning revival on the East Coast. You can read the full blog of the prophecy on our website here.
